On the BX series sub-CUTs, there is a missing control lever on the right fender. I think the new ones (1830 & 2230) have a cruise control lever occupying that space, but my 1500 doesn't have anything there. The icon on the decal shows a hydraulic cylinder in the advanced and retracted position. Rear aux hydraulics, perhaps? I would love to add that feature using factory parts, but I can find no specific info on what is supposed to go in that fender opening. Anyone familiar with what I am talking about?

It isn't missing anything. That hole is used on the BX30 series for cruise control. ....

Can the cruise control feature on the BX2230 be retrofitted onto a BX2200 since the opening is already there? If so, what kind of cost for the parts?

My BX1500 was purchased just before the BX1800 and 2200 evolved into the 1830 and 2230. I am pretty sure that the 1800/2200 did not have cruise control, but did share the same fender console as the 1500. If that slot is used for cruise control on the 1830 and the 2230, then why does the label on my 1500 show a hydraulic cylinder? It doesn't look anything like the cruise control label on the 1830/2230. My brain hurts...

I know this is kind of a stupid comment, but.... No one ever accused me of being the sharpest pencil in the box.

Did you look at your owners manual? My TC 33 has two open slots on the right fender and in the owners manual it discussed the option for both. ....

I checked my BX2200 manual and it doesn't mention any option for this open slot. Because of the picture that corresponds with it, I just assumed it was a spot for a lever to control a hydraulic top link for the three point. Since the new models have the cruise lever in this opening, I assume I could put it on mine. Will have to look at a 2230 at the dealership to compare. ....
